Updated Covid-19 Arrangements

On 21 October 2020, Dan Jarvis the mayor for the Sheffield City Region announced that as from Saturday 24 October 2020 South Yorkshire will move into the highest tier of the Covid-19 alert system.  This acts as reminder to everyone that the Covid-19 virus continues to pose a serious risk to the health of the people of South Yorkshire.  Rotherham along with the rest of South Yorkshire (Barnsley, Sheffield and Doncaster) must now adhere to stricter guidance from Saturday.

There is no time limit on how long these new restrictions will last.  We need to inform you that we have reluctantly taken the decision to work remotely.  This means all our staff will be working from home and the office will be closed to customers.

WE ARE NOT CLOSED WE WILL REOPEN OUR PREMISES TO CUSTOMERS AS SOON AS WE ARE ABLE.

Since March LASER Credit Union has been able to operate almost as normal because we have made major changes behind the scenes to enable customers to access many of our services.  You can request a BACS payment or a top-up loan, from the comfort of your own home using your smartphone, tablet or laptop using our mobile app. Customers who regularly withdraw cash at our office have been able to apply for an “Engage Card” – a VISA debit card that lets you have 24hr access to your money by using any cash machine.

Please call us on 01709 836500 or email enquiries@lasercu.org.uk us if you haven’t already signed up for our new services, and we’ll help you through the process.

These arrangements mean that we can still continue to offer a good range of services to customers even if we are working from our homes.

We would like to take this opportunity to ask for your understanding and thank you for your continued support and co-operation during this time.

Stay safe,
